Vivian Simons
Vivian lived in Central Florida between 1957 and 1969 where she became interested in all types of auto racing. She began attending the races at Daytona when they built and opened DIS and was also at the first 24 Hours of Daytona race. She worked at the local race track on Friday nights.
Vivian moved to California in 1969 and continued to be interested in stock car racing and also became interested in the open wheel series. Her husband had his own stock car and raced at several local tracks in both CA and NV. She was a lap counter at some of these tracks. She has since moved to OR and has visited local tracks in both OR and WA state. Vivian's racing knowledge came from involvement, track promoters, racers from several series and her husband. |
