Tim Leeming is 71 years old and despite a deep Southern drawl, he was born in Rochester, NY. His parents left NY for SC when he was 5 months old. He's been steeped in racing from a very early age, thanks to his Uncle Bobby and parents who went racing with a camper in the infield of many tracks.
He and his wife Ann make their home in Columbia, SC. They have several grandchildren, but the light in Tim's eyes shines for his 3 grandsons, none of whom are particularly interested in racing. Wouldn't you just know? His favorite track today is Darlington, where he's seen many, many races over the years and he is a lifetime Richard Petty fan. Richard has described Tim as his "most annoying fan", but in jest, I assure you. Tim has vast experience in both writing and radio, with most all of it relating to auto racing. Currently he hosts an Icast show from "Ghost Tracks and Legends" through Spreaker. We are privileged to have Tim join us, if only on a part-time basis and look forward to whatever his busy schedule permits him to share with the readers of RFF. |
