Richmond Wrap and Bristol Picks
Federated Auto Parts 400 Richmond
Wrap-up and Results
It was on to the short tracks for the second round of the Playoffs as the Traveling Circus made the trek to the “Action Track” at Richmond. The three-quarter mile track that is known as the “Short Track That Races Like a Superspeedway” that used to be the regular season cutoff race now finds itself as the filling in the Round One sandwich cookie. The race wasn’t even a double stuff as it went caution free except for the mandatory Competition Caution and Stage Breaks.
Congratulations go to Vivian Simons, who earned a trip to Victory Lane with her Martin Truex second place finish. Vivian nipped Vicq Ruiz and his Joey Logano pick who was chased by a swarm of Kyle Busch pickers that included PattyKay Lilley, John Barnes and Kelly Meiste.
Below is the final running order for the Federated Auto Parts 400-2020 Style.

Vivian’s 35-point win allowed her to close the gap a smidge on Points Leader PattyKay Lilley. As the Points Standings Show there was no change in the Points Standings.
Again, Congratulations, Vivian. Eight more races. Next up-Bristol
Bass Pro/NRA Night Race 500-Bristol
Picks and Prognostications
The Playoff field will be reduced to twelve and the cut is going to be made at Bristol, baby! It will 500 Laps on the high banked half-mile to settle which twelve players advance to the Round of Twelve and which four get to run the next seven races with little recognition or TV exposure.
Normally, the focus would be on who is going to win the race but this is a cutoff race so the Series attention shifts to the fifth worst in points who will be the last driver to advance. The great thing in RFF Fantasy is we don’t care about cutoffs and eliminations, so we’ll talk about winners.
Former Bristol winners among active winners and playoff contenders are
topped by the Busch Brothers, with Kyle leading with 8 wins and Kurt with another 6. Last year’s winner was Brad Keselowski (3) with Denny Hamlin (2) winning in the spring. Other winners include Kevin Harvick (3) and Joey Logano (2). Other previous winners who didn’t make the Playoffs include Matt Kenseth (3) and Jimmie Johnson (2). Playoff Drivers who could use a win Saturday night to keep their Playoff hopes alive include Clint Bowyer, William Byron, Cole Custer, Ryan Blaney (who couldn’t find his back bumper with both hands last week) and Bristol fan favorite, Matt DiBenedetto.
So, will our Fantasy Racers choose from this list or go for a new Bristol winner? Let’s take a look and see-
PattyKay Lilley
Ah! Good old Bristol! The track that makes boys out of men... or something like that. We have some good short trackers in the pack, but none as good as the guy I came with, so don't change a thing. I'll ride with Kyle Busch another time.
Frank Buhrman
Kyle Busch. As long as my place in the standings is sinking like International Speedway Corp. stock if there still was such a thing, I'll pick somebody who hasn't done anything positive for my momentum yet . . . you know, going against the grain. So, if you see some flattened-out wheat anytime soon, you'll know it's my pick. Go, Shrub!
Vivian Simons
Toyota has won four of the last six races at Bristol and Ford won the other two. That indicates that Toyota will win this one. However, I am thinking Ford may just pull closer to their dominance and beat them this week. Therefore, I am riding with "The Closer", Kevin Harvick in his #4 SHR Ford to Victory Lane after he wins this one.

Now who wins Bristol? I don't have any feeling for that so I'm going to take the easy way out and pick #2 Brad Keselowski to win back to back races!!
Kelly Meiste
Brad Keselowski once called Kyle Busch the south side of a northbound mule. Saturday night that’s all he and the rest of field are going to see-his rear bumper. 18 for the win!
Vicq Ruiz
Keep my chips on the 22 spot this week!
Hal Ashburn
Stay with the #11.
Will Dossett
Tyler Reddick, #8
J. L. Steele
Chase Elliott
John Barnes
Staying with the reverso-super-jinx. Kyle Busch
David Nance
This week Busch the Elder becomes Busch the Greater. #1 for the win and pass into the Round of Twelve
