Race 33 at Martinsville saw another dominating drive for the win. In the spring, it was Brad Keselowski who led 446 laps for the win. Sunday saw Martin Truex Jr. bump that up, leading 464 laps to take the win.
David Nance had MTJ for the win. 40 points always helps even if you’re in an incredible hole. Overall, it was a dominating performance by the entire Fantasy Racing group with all finishing in the Top 14, eight in the Top 10, 6 in the Top 5, 5 in the Top 3.
Because the point distribution was so tight this week there was no change in the points standings. Kelly Meiste still sits atop the leaderboard, but PattyKay Lilley continues to whittle away at his lead. Three more races... can he hang on?

Race 34 finds the Traveling Circus... clap, clap, clap... deep in the heart of Texas. They take the 550HP/AeroDuct setup to the 1.5 miler at Ft. Worth to see how things shake out before going further west to Phoenix to set the Final Four.
Denny Hamlin won the race and was only one of three of our current Playoff contenders to finish in the Top 10 using this setup. Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch finished eighth and tenth respectively. The rest of our Contenders finished mid-field with Ryan Blaney having a day he wishes he could forget.
Historically, Contenders Hamlin and Kyle Busch have three wins here, while Kevin Harvick has two and Joey Logano, one. Jimmie Johnson leads all winners with seven wins here.
Martin Truex, Jr. is the strongest non-winning Contender while Kurt Busch is the Top non-winner overall.
So who will find Victory Lane? Will it be a Contender punching their ticket to Homestead or a non-Contender acting as spoiler and robbing a spot?
Let’s see who our Fantasy Racers believe will be in Victory Lane this weekend.
And yet ANOTHER Mile & and-a-half track looms... this time it's Texas. That's OK. I don't need to spend much time figuring who is the best there and it's MY guy... Kevin Harvick... so I'll be riding this week in that good ol' #4 and happy to be there. Pretty sure with Phoenix waiting in the wings, this will be a 2-week ride, but I'll let you know about that next week.
What I'd really like is for the Cup race to be postponed in favor of a junk car race between members of Hamlin's and Logano's crews. We need some serious entertainment here, folks. If that can't be done, this really is a hard one to pick, but I'm going a little bit out on a limb and say Ryan Blaney will find the combination and take home the win.
Please just put me down for Harvick this weekend.
Martinsville is in the books and another not that great race! This spoiler package sure makes the short track races very dull!! IMHO NASCAR really needs to get 4 or 5 inches off those spoilers on short tracks and roads!! Well that was last week on to this and the Texas race. First off I just must say how stupid it is to have the Cup race and the F1 race on the same date, state and the same starting time, not that I watch F1… stopped doing that back in the days when Stefan Johansson left and ended up in CART!!
Anyways I really want to pick Kevin Harvick this week BUT I've not been that lucky with my picks this year so I'm not sure I would like to take the risk of jinxing him and I’d so much like him to take home the "Championship". I think coach Gibbs likes Hamlin to take the Cup!! So I pick #11 Dany Hamlin and hope for a little jinx there instead!!
He's fast at Texas
And he knows how to points race
Harvick for me Sunday
I picked him in the spring race but back then he wasn't hitting on all 8 cylinders. It took him until mid-season to get up to speed. I'll give it one more try.
Put me down for the #4 of Kevin Harvick.
Still riding the 11 to the end.
Can't see giving up on my boy now. #42
J. L. Steele
I'm not ready to guarantee it but this guy is more than likely my pick for each of the final three races. I know I'm going with him at Texas though. It's Kevin Harvick.
I thought about sticking with the 19 but two in a row is tough. Think Kyle Busch will take it but going with Slugger Joey Logano.
there you have it! Agree? Disagree?
