Fantasy Picks 2019 ~ Michigan 2
Recap
and Results
Let’s Go Bowling at the Glen
Watkins Glen
Show
of hands... After the last few abysmal weeks for Chase Elliott, who really
thought he could actually make it back
to back wins at the Glen? One can raise
his hand, as Vicq Ruiz picked this week’s race winner and picked up a nice 40-point
payday for his Dawsonville’s favorite son pick.
(It started as 49 points due to some fat fingers input...)
Kelly
Meiste and Frank Buhrman finished right on his rear bumper and the 35 points
earned helped Kelly narrow the gap behind points leader PattyKay Lilley.
We
had no changes in the points standings only gaps closing between our
competitors. We’ll see what Michigan brings this week.

Week’s Picks
Consumers Energy 400
Michigan
The
northern swing continues as the Traveling Road show returns to the Irish Hills
of Michigan for 400 miles around the two-mile high banks.
Joey
Logano (3 wins) had the low horsepower/high aero setup figured out when they
came here just a few weeks ago. That win
was about the last time he looked like he could find Victory Lane. Could this be a breakout week for him and put
him on track to defend his Cup Championship?
Kyle Larson also has three wins here as well.
Kevin
Harvick (2) is the defending champ at this race, while Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin
and Ryan Newman also have two wins each.
Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch have also found success at MIS.
Chase
Elliott had a heck of a streak going, having never finished outside the top
10... until the spring race here. Can he
use the momentum from last week’s win to find Victory Lane? Martin Truex Jr. also runs strong here and
his second place at the Glen may just what the Coach ordered.
So,
who’s it going to be? Let’s see what our
Fantasy Racers think about this week at Michigan.
PattyKay
Lilley
So,
good folks, we're back at Michigan... always one of my favorite tracks...
possibly because in 1998 I played Fantasy for real dollars and won $2500 of
them on this very race. (Never played for money again, so I'm WAY ahead of that
game.) This week I'm dancing with the guy that brought me to the dance. I'll be
riding with #4, Kevin Harvick and celebrating with Keelan in Victory Lane!
Frank
Buhrman
Think
I've ridden the Truex horse long enough for this run, so let's go with Kyle
Busch, who's due to have something go right after getting yelled at and wrecked
so much at the Glen that he could have been a bowling pin. I say smoother
sailing for #18 this week and gutter balls for the competition.
Vivian
Simons
I
think I will go with Joey Logano to win this Sunday at Michigan as he has won
before and seems to do good there.
Berra
Nordin
Michigan
again this week, and a new first-time winner for the year! #20 Erik Jones
has been running in the top 5 for some weeks now, so I think he due for a win
this week!
Vicq
Ruiz
Not
much fun, but it's
Comfy in the bandwagon!
The #18 wagon.......
Kelly
Meiste
I'm
pulling for Kevin Harvick to get some clean air this week and stay out front
for a change. So, put me down for the #4 to top the charts in Michigan.
Hal
Ashburn
This
horse named Kyle is going lame. Going to jump to Joey in the #22 this
week.
Will
Dossett
Kyle
has won 3 times at Michigan. Time for him to make it 4. I'll ride
with him this weekend. #42 Kyle Larson
J.
L. Steele
No
one enjoys winning at Michigan as much as Brad Keselowski. No one is as tough
to beat at Michigan as Brad Keselowski. He'll win up there again this weekend.
David
Nance
I’ll
try the #19 this week.
So,
there you have it! Agree? Disagree?
