Bank of America ROVAL 400-Charlotte
Wrap-up and Results
Mother Nature couldn’t rain on Hal Ashburn and J. L. Steele’s ROVAL parade as the dynamic duo’s Chase Elliott pick showed the field his back bumper on his way fourth straight road course win. The ROVAL looked a lot like Daytona Road Course and would have been a lot worse had Chase had more green flag laps. David Nance finished a distant second in fifth as Ryan Blaney spun while leading and had to claw his way back up through the field.
Overall, five Fantasy Racers finished in the Top 10 and it would have been better had Kyle Busch not had some late race bad luck that dinged several racers.
Here is the final running order for Sunday’s ROVAL in the rain.

Vivian Simons solid finish kept her position atop the Points Standings with four races to go. Hal and J. L. used their 40 point win to advance a position each into fourth and fifth respectively. Below you can see the Points Standings after the ROVAL rain fest.
So, we’re down to four races left and we’re into the Round of Eight. Now it’s back to two mile and a half’ers before the final cutoff at Martinsville to set the four-car field for the Phoenix finale. The first cookie-cutter up is Kansas.

Picks and Prognostications
This race last year saw an overtime win by Denny Hamlin punch his ticket into the Finale. The TV ratings bump was so great that NASCAR talking heads declared NASCAR had seen the bottom and was on its way back. Victory... finally! Then came the next race and later the next season. So here we are again.
As the first race in the final round, Kansas City sets the tone for the rest of the round. Eight cut to four for Phoenix and a chance for the Cup Championship. Except for Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth and Ryan Newman, all previous winners are in the Round of Eight. They include Denny Hamlin (3) who is on a two-race winning streak here. Kevin Harvick (3), Brad Keselowski (3), Martin Truex, Jr. (2), Joey Logano (2) and Chase Elliott. Can Alex Bowman and Kurt Busch find their way into the KC Victory Lane?
Big Race. Several Chasers are below the cutoff and the only way they will see Phoenix is with a win. KC is a streaky race which plays into Denny Hamlin’s hand. A lot of things to consider. Let’s see what our Fantasy Racers think is going to happen at the Midwest cookie cutter-

It was simple. I just kept Harvick!

No, I'm not picking Elliott, I said last week. He'll never win that many in a row. oops. Now we come to Kansas: No, I'm not picking Hamlin. He'll never win that many in a row. Do I learn from experience? We'll see, because I'm thinking this is Martin Truex's week to show he can still push the button. I said that about Bowman last week; this week I think I'll be right. Go #19.
Vivian Simons
I think it is time for Kevin Harvick in that #4 Ford to come back to the front and make it to Victory Lane at Kansas!
Berra Nordin
It seems like I don't to have too much luck with my picks right now so this week I'm going to do you all a favor and pick #11 Denny Hamlin! No three in a row for him at Kansas!!!
Kelly Meiste
Monkey. Off. Back. Sunday! #18 for the win
Vicq Ruiz
Back to the #20 this week, I think the young fella's showing a hot hand.
Hal Ashburn
Still going with the #11
Will Dossett
Let's cut some cookies with the number 8 again!
